We’re excited to announce our latest partnership with gBeat, an innovative platform for fitness tracking on Apple Watch and Android/Wear OS smartwatches. This collaboration enhances our commitment to providing holistic wellness solutions by seamlessly integrating wearable technology into the gym experience.
Through gBeat’s advanced geolocation and heart rate tracking, our Flex App and Group Studio platforms will offer an even richer experience for our members. When users approach their gym, the app will automatically activate using geofencing, creating a smooth, hassle-free start to their workout.
From their smartwatch, users can track key fitness metrics like heart rate, training zones, calorie burn, and workout duration. These stats will be displayed in real-time on the gym’s TV displays, giving both members and instructors a clear view of performance. Once the workout ends, geofencing will detect the user's departure and automatically log the session.
All workout data is recorded with Google Health Connect and Apple HealthKit, allowing members to easily review their sessions and track their progress.
"This partnership with gBeat is a huge step forward. Nearly 400 million gym-goers are already using wearable fitness trackers, and that number is expected to grow to 525 million by 2029. We’re committed to providing operators with the tools they need to create immersive, data-driven experiences," added Andy Peat, CEO of Fitness On Demand.
With this collaboration, we’re continuing to solidify our position as a leader in omnifitness solutions by integrating wearable tech that enhances personalized fitness experiences.
